BAE Systems develops anti-jamming GPS receivers AUSTIN, Texas, 18 April 2008. BAE Systems has developed a satellite navigation receiver system designed to provide uninterrupted operation of the global positioning system for air, land, and sea platforms and applications.
General Dynamics to provide JTRS capabilities, information assurance services SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., 18 April 2008. General Dynamics won a contract valued at up to $140 million to develop and integrate the maritime and fixed-site joint tactical radio capabilities and provide information assurance services for the Lockheed Martin Airborne, Maritime and Fixed Site (AMF) Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) team.
Aurora Flight Sciences reveal details of solar-powered airplane BOSTON, 17 April 2008. On April 23, 2008, at the Boston Museum of Science, Aurora Flight Sciences will reveal details about its new solar-powered airplane called Odysseus. Aurora and its partners BAE Systems, Draper Laboratory, and Sierra Nevada were awarded a contract from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) for the development of radical new unmanned aircraft able to stay aloft for up to five years.
Telos provides enterprise-wide messaging for Canadian mlitary ASHBURN, Va., 16 April 2008. Telos Corp. is installing a Web-based, enterprise-wide organizational messaging capability for the Canadian Ministry of Defence under a task order as a part of the NETCENTS contract vehicle. The contract includes options for three years of maintenance following successful fielding.

The addition of Ampro enables ADLINK to offer Extreme Rugged, rugged and industrial products and services for use in aircraft, trains, ships, and other environments that subject equipment to extended temperature, shock, and vibration.
Sun Java RTOS selected for space surveillance radar SANTA CLARA, Calif., 15 April 2008. Sun Microsystems Inc. announced that ITT Corp. has selected the Sun Java Real-Time System 2.0 (Java RTS) and the Solaris 10 Operating System (OS) as the software development platform for its Eglin Control and Signal Processing Upgrade (CSPU) program.
Unmanned aerial vehicle market to exceed $13 Billion by 2014 WASHINGTON, D.C., 15 April 2008. The global war on terrorism has prompted the United States to pump significant amounts of money into its unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) programs, asserts Forecast International analyst Larry Dickerson. Dickerson says the market for UAV Reconnaissance Systems, including air vehicles, ground control equipment, and payloads, is expected to be worth $13.6 billion through 2014.
Fortress Technologies, Telos Corp. team on U.S. Army front-line mobile communications solution TAMPA, Fla., 14 April 2008. Fortress Technologies, a provider of security and secure wireless solutions, has been selected as part of the Telos Corp. team to support the U.S. Army's Combat Service Support Automated Information System Interface (CAISI) program. Under the terms of the agreement, Fortress will provide its ES520 Secure Wireless Access Bridges as part of the overall implementation. Telos will deploy the Fortress component as the anchor of the solution.
OSI Systems wins $7.3 million contract for multiple relocatable cargo-inspection systems HAWTHORNE, Calif., 14 April 2008. OSI Systems Inc., a provider of specialized electronic products for critical applications in the security industry, announced that its Security division, Rapiscan Systems, won a $7.3 million contract from the United States Army for multiple relocatable Gamma Radiographic Detection Systems (GaRDS). The systems are to be deployed in multiple undisclosed international locations.
General Dynamics Canada selects Presagis tools, services for CP-140 Aurora modernization OTTAWA, Canada, 13 April 2008. Presagis, a provider of commercial off-the shelf (COTS) modeling, simulation, and embedded display graphics software, is supporting General Dynamics Canada, Canada's largest defense contractor, in the training and testing component of the Aurora Incremental Modernization Project (AIMP).
