BAE Systems military radar warning receiver to protect against anti satellite weapons MERRIMACK, N.H., 8 April 2009. BAE Systems in Nashua, N.H., will develop a military radar warning receiver to help protect U.S. surveillance and communications satellites from enemy anti satellite weapons attack.
Lockheed Martin upgrade to extend life of Kuwait radar SYRACUSE, N.Y.,6 April 2009. Lockheed Martin won a contract by the Kuwait Ministry of Defense to significantly upgrade the Kuwait air force AN/FPS-117 long-range radar originally delivered in 1993.

Scientists in the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in Arlington, Va., are looking to two U.S. defense companies to develop terahertz integrated circuit technology for military applications in imaging, radar, terahertz spectroscopy, and communications.
Lockheed Martin wins role on GSA Alliant Contract Vehicle ROCKVILLE, Md., 4 April 2009. Lockheed Martin Corp. has been selected by the General Services Administration (GSA) to compete for future information technology task orders under its next-generation Alliant contracting vehicle. Fifty-eight other companies were also selected to compete for Alliant tasks. Alliant is a government-wide acquisition contract (GWAC) established by GSA to provide IT services, products, and solutions to client agencies worldwide.
Army chooses Datron to provide tactical radio military communications for overseas forces FORT MONMOUTH, N.J., 3 April 2009. Datron World Communications Inc. in Vista, Calif. -- the company in charge of providing military communications equipment to the Afghanistan army -- won a $25.4 million U.S. Army sole-source contract March 27 to provide VHF military tactical radio communications equipment for foreign military sales.
European embedded computer company acquires rugged enclosure maker Carlo Gavazzi LUSTENAU, Austria, 2 April 2009. Embedded computer specialist System Industrie Electronic AG (S.I.E. AG) in Lustenau, Austria, has acquired rugged enclosure maker Carlo Gavazzi Computing Solutions Inc. in Brockton, Mass., and has changed Gavazzi's name to S.I.E. Computing Solutions Inc.
ITT Corp. releases Soldier Radio Waveform for JTRS military software defined radio FORT WAYNE, Ind., 1 April 2009. The ITT Corp. Communications Systems division in Fort Wayne, Ind., has qualified and released the Soldier Radio Waveform (SRW) 1.0C for the Pentagon's Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) software defined radio.
Army asks three military night vision companies to provide thermal sight technology for night battle ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md., 31 March 2009. U.S. Army night battle experts are looking to three U.S. military night vision companies -- Raytheon Systems in McKinney, Texas; BAE Systems in Lexington, Mass.; and DRS Sensors and Targeting Systems Inc. in Palm Bay, Fla. -- to provide thermal sight technology for night combat.
