DataPath Inc. in Duluth, Ga., won a $12 million U.S. Army network contract for Ka band military communications conversion kits, spares kits and technical services that enable DataPath satellite transportable terminals (STTs) and other systems on the battlefield to operate using the Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) system.

Boeing delivers 1st JTRS GMR radio engineering development models to U.S. Army
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif., 23 March 2009. Boeing delivered the first two engineering development models (EDM) of the Joint Tactical Radio System Ground Mobile Radios (JTRS GMR) to the U.S. Army's Future Combat Systems (FCS) program last month. FCS will use the EDM units for software development, integration, and testing.

Army looks to Rockwell Collins for military handheld GPS receiver deliveries
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa, 19 March 2009. Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, will provide military handheld GPS receivers to the U.S. Air Force GPS Wing under terms of a $450 million contract. The contract, which includes GPS antenna technology, is to provide Defense Advanced Global Positioning System Receivers (DAGR) through 2016.

Israeli firm Elisra to supply electronic warfare avionics to South Korea
BENE BERAK, Israel, 18 March 2009. Elisra Electronic Systems Ltd. in Bene Berak, Israel will supply the South Korean government with electronic warfare avionics for Korea's C-130 four-engine turboprop transport aircraft, under terms of a $25 million contract, Elisra officials say.
