Curtiss-Wright acquires electronics cooling and thermal management specialist EST Group Inc.
ROSELAND, N.J., 7 Mar. 2009. Curtiss-Wright Corp. has acquired all of the stock of EST Group Inc. for approximately $40 million in cash. EST Group is a provider of highly engineered products and comprehensive repair services for heat management and cooling systems used in the energy and defense markets. The business will become part of Curtiss-Wright's Flow Control segment.
Fidelity Technologies to build simulation system for Air Force training
READING, Pa., 6 March 2009. Fidelity Technologies Corp. in Reading, Pa., won a $5.3 million U.S. Air Force contract to create a simulation and training system that can be used for a range of training exercises.

Market for ATCA integrated systems to grow to $301.2 million by 2012, says VDC
NATICK, Mass., 4 March 2009. The worldwide market for merchant ATCA systems should nearly triple over the five-year period from 2008 to 2012, according to analysts at market researcher VDC Research Group in Natick, Mass. Sales of integrated systems based on ATCA boards should rise from $114.9 million in 2008 to $301.2 million by 2012, VDC analysts say.
Thales chooses Aonix PERC virtual machine software for ballistic missile radar
ETTLINGEN, Germany, 3 March 2009. Military system designers at Thales Air Systems in Neuilly sur Seine, France, needed virtual machine software for Normandie and Ground Master 400 ground radar systems. They found their solution in the PERC software from Aonix GmbH in Ettlingen, Germany.
Future Combat Systems program completes Integrated Mission Test-1

(SAIC) – together the lead systems integrator for the U.S. Army's Future Combat Systems (FCS) program completed Integrated Mission Test-1 (IMT-1), verifying that the integration of FCS systems and Battle Command software is proceeding as planned.
Electronic printed circuit board shipments down nearly 20 percent in January
BANNOCKBURN, Ill., 1 March 2009. Shipments of rigid printed circuit boards (PCBs) were down 18.9 percent and bookings were down 30.7 percent in January 2009 from January 2008, say experts at the IPC electronics industry trade association in Bannockburn, Ill.

Pascall Electronics to provide RF frequency generators for European navy ship
