Marine Corps looks to Harris to help install PRC-117F radios in Marine combat vehicles ROCHESTER, N.Y., 30 Oct. 2009. The Harris Corp. RF Communications Division in Rochester, N.Y., won a $90 million five-year radio communications contract from the U.S. Marine Corps Thursday to provide as many as 3,385 kits to install the Harris AN/PRC-117F radio in Marine Corps vehicles.

The sale of Sypris Test & Measurement Inc. was completed for $39 million in cash on October 26, 2009. The proceeds are to be used by Sypris Solutions to support growth of its Aerospace & Defense segment and the retirement debt, among other uses.

The U.S. Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) at Fort Belvoir, Va., is set to award a $3.5 million contract to EF Johnson Technologies in Rockville, Md., to integrate secure radio communications and electronic sensors designed to detect weapons of mass destruction (WMD) into a secure wireless network for U.S. Coast Guard boarding parties inspecting large ships.
