Coherent introduces modular diode laser system with 400 Watts of power
SANTA CLARA, Calif., 21 May 2009. Coherent Inc. in Santa Clara, Calif., is introducing the turnkey HB-Diode laser system with output power as strong as to 400 Watts at 976 nanometers. The laser system can be configured with from one to four 100-Watt 200-micron diode modules, and the output from each diode module can then be fiber-delivered individually, or combined into one, 0.22 NA delivery fiber.

Performance Technologies, a provider of network communications solutions, announced that its IPnexus MicroTCA systems now support an AdvancedMC option featuring the Intel EP80579 system-on-a-chip (SoC) integrated processor. The AMC123, an x86 Intel-based module, combines high-performance compute capabilities with low power consumption, making it well suited for cluster computing, edge, wireless, or aerospace/defense communications and control applications.
