Sabritec introduces new low VSWR Multiway Coax Connectors IRVINE, Calif., 11 May 2009 Sabritec announced their new High Frequency Micro-D Coax Connectors (MDHC) with low VSWR as fast as 40 gigahertz. The new devices have a constant 50 ohm airline impedance interface and are 30 percent smaller than their SCX coaxial connectors, Sabritec officials say.

Swissbit unveils rugged solid-state drives BRONSCHHOFEN, Switzerland, 9 May 2009. Swissbit has unveiled its P-100 and X-100 series of 2.5-inch solid-state drive (SSD) hard drives. These rugged SSDs support Serial ATA (sATA) and Parallel (pATA) interfaces. Because they have no moving parts, vibration and shock tolerance is extended significantly, making them well suited to mobile applications in which durability and reliability are crucial.
Crystal Mark introduces conformal coating removal system GLENDALE, Calif., 8 May 2009. Crystal Mark Inc. has released its Turbo-Max CCR tabletop workstation for removing conformal coatings from components and printed circuit boards. Rather than using chemicals, the system employs micro-abrasive blasting to remove the coatings. Micro-abrasive blasting combines very fine particles and compressed air with a nozzle to focus on the area to be cleaned.
