Power electronics for military vehicle power generation provided to U.S. Army by L-3
MUSKEGON, Mich., 13 Sept. 2009. U.S. Army officials needed power components to provide high electrical power generator capability for the vehicle power system of the M-2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle. They found their solution from the L-3 Communications Combat Propulsion Systems in Muskegon, Mich.

Korea Aerospace Industries speeds electrical designs with Mentor Graphics CHS tools
WILSONVILLE, Ore., 12 Sept. 2009. Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI), a manufacturer of fixed and rotary wing aircraft, has reduced the time needed to design the electrical wiring system of its newest platform. For this project, KAI engineers used tools within Mentor Graphics Corp.'s CHS product family, with the objective of improving process efficiency for this complex task.

Raytheon wins $77 million U.S. Air Force contract for infrared-guided Maverick missiles
TUCSON, Ariz., 11 Sept. 2009. Raytheon Company won from the U.S. Air Force a $77.4 million Foreign Military Sales contract to produce AGM-65D and AGM-65G2 infrared-guided Maverick air-to-surface missiles for Korea and Taiwan. The air, naval, and marine forces of 33 countries use the AGM-65 Maverick family of precision-attack missiles.

Northrop Grumman to supply advanced navigation systems for Brazil navy patrol craft
LONDON, 10 Sept. 2009. Northrop Grumman's (NYSE:NOC) Sperry Marine business unit Charlottesville, Va., has been selected by the Brazil navy to supply state-of-the-art navigation systems for four new NAPA 500-ton patrol vessels, with options for six additional vessels.

CSC wins $162 million NASA contract to provide aviation services
FALLS CHURCH, Va., 9 Sept. 2009. CSC won from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) a contract to provide aviation services through the Johnson Space Center Aircraft Maintenance and Modification Program. The new contract has a six-month base period and two 12-month options, bringing the total estimated value to $162 million.
