U.S. Army contracts Future Skies to enhance data sharing WALL, N.J., 9 May 2009. The U.S. Army has selected Future Skies for an award under the Collaborative Battlespace Reasoning and Awareness contract. This Advanced Technology Objective, managed by the Communications and Electronics Research, Development, and Engineering Center Command and Control Directorate will develop and demonstrate multi-platform, cross-community applications and software services that support integration and synchronization of intelligence and operations functions.
Lockheed Martin contracts Elbit Systems to supply electronic warfare equipment for Canadian Navy Frigate upgrade HAIFA, Israel, 8 May 2009. Elbit Systems Ltd.'s subsidiary, Elisra Electronic Systems Ltd. (Elisra), won a contract from Lockheed Martin Canada Ltd. to supply electronic warfare (EW) equipment for the Canadian Navy's Halifax Frigate Modernization program. The contract is valued at approximately $55 million. Elisra's systems were selected upon meeting the standards and challenges required by the customer.
Activu completes net-centric information display system for FASI-G program DENVILLE, N.J., 8 May 2009. Activu Corp. engineers have completed the design and build of a multi-location distributed information display system at Lockheed Martin's new Global Sustainment Command Center in Columbus, Ohio. The work serves the Fleet Automotive Support Initiative - Global contract for logistics and sustainment support of military land-based vehicles. The Activu display system provides dynamic information display and sharing across six locations within the facility.
Raytheon gains $115 million contract to upgrade Patriot Air and Missile Defense Systems TEWKSBURY, Mass., 7 May 2009. Raytheon Company won a new contract from the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command to continue "Pure Fleet" upgrades of U.S. Army Patriot Air and Missile Defense Systems. The contract provides $115 million to upgrade four additional U.S. Army Patriot Air and Missile Defense Systems to Configuration-3 status. The upgrades involve enhancements to Patriot system ground components, particularly the radar, says a representative.
Elbit Systems of America to provide soldier-worn computer systems to U.S. Army for the Ground Soldier Ensemble Program FORT WORTH, Texas, 6 May 2009. U.S. Army officials have selected Elbit Systems of America LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Elbit Systems Ltd., as part of an industry team led by Rockwell Collins for the system integration and prototype phase of the Ground Soldier Ensemble (GSE) program.
Tomahawk Block IV missile to engage moving targets with Raytheon-developed anti-surface warfare capability TUCSON, Ariz., 5 May 2009. Engineers at Raytheon Company have developed a technology plan to enhance the moving target capabilities of the Tomahawk Block IV missile. The technology is designed to enable naval forces to engage moving maritime surface targets and conduct anti-surface warfare missions more effectively.
SAIC wins $96 million contract from Marine Corps Systems Command SAN DIEGO, 5 May 2009. Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) won a prime contract by U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) to provide chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) and incident response program support. The single-award prime contract has a one-year base period of performance, four one-year options, and a total contract value of $96 million if all options are exercised.
Cubic wins extension to Saudi Arabia logistics contract SAN DIEGO, 4 May 2009. Cubic Corp. won contracts valued at approximately $9.5 million to continue to operate and maintain the air combat training system used to support F-15 fighter pilot training for the Royal Saudi air force. Under a three-year contract extension with the 675th Armament Systems Squadron ARSS/PK at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., Cubic will continue this contractor logistics support through 2011.
