Rockwell Collins to provide AEHF satellite communications terminals to Canadian Department of National Defense
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa 23 Oct. 2009 - Rockwell Collins will provide Extended Data Rate (XDR) International Partners Variant (IPV) Single Channel Anti-jam Manportable (SCAMP) terminals to the Canadian Department of National Defense (DND) for use with the U.S. Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) satellites. The five-year contract is valued at $52.3 million. The Foreign Military Sale contract will be executed through the U.S. Army's Communications-Electronics Command Group (CECOM).

Herley Subsidiary wins $6.5 million contract to provide electronics for U.S. Navy electronic attack aircraft
LANCASTER, Pa., 23 Oct. 2009. Herley Industries Inc.'s Herley-CTI subsidiary in Whippany, N.J., has won an award valued at approximately $6.5 million from a major U.S. prime contractor to manufacture an integrated microwave assembly (IMA) and an oscillator for a U.S. Navy electronic attack aircraft.

Mitsubishi Electric to supply PLS components to Orbital Sciences Corp. for NASA International Space Station
TOKYO, 22 Oct. 2009. Mitsubishi Electric Corp. has entered an agreement to supply Proximity Link System (PLS) components to Orbital Sciences Corp. (Orbital). The components will guide Orbital's Cygnus Spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS) on nine re-supply missions for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

Universal Display wins U.S. Army SBIR contract extension for flexible OLED displays on metal foil
EWING, N.J., 21 Oct. 2009. Universal Display Corp., developer of UniversalPHOLED phosphorescent OLED technology, won a $333,593 extension to a United States Army Communication Electronics Research and Development Engineering Center (CERDEC) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase III contract. Under the extension, Universal Display will continue work on its flexible OLED display technology and will deliver prototype flexible displays built on metal foil to the U.S. Army.

ITT wins $19.3 million night-vision goggle contract
ROANOKE, Va., 17 Oct. 2009. ITT Corp. won a $19.3 million delivery order from the U.S. Army's Research Development & Engineering Command Acquisition Center under the OMNI VII contract for AN/PVS-14 night-vision monocular devices, reportedly one of ITT's most popular and utilized night-vision goggle. Eighty percent of these goggles are destined for the U.S. Air Force with the remaining quantities for the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army.
