Massive Ordnance Penetrator, a huge bunker buster bomb, to be outfitted for B-2 stealth bomber
WASHINGTON, 4 Oct. 2009. U.S. Department of Defense leaders have found the money they sought to speed deployment of the 15-ton Massive Ordnance Penetrator bunker buster super bomb on the B-2 stealth bomber for potential use in heavily defended areas of the world, such as Iran and North Korea.

Oshkosh Defense to integrate camera systems, improve situational awareness on combat vehicles
OSHKOSH, Wis., 3 Oct. 2009. Oshkosh Corp.'s Defense Segment won a $33 million award from the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command Life Cycle Management Command (TACOM LCMC) to supply a rear-mounted camera system on more than 2,200 MRAP All Terrain Vehicles (M-ATV) to provide improved situational awareness for vehicle occupants.

Stanley partners with U.S. Army for advanced warhead development
ARLINGTON, Va., 2 Oct. 2009. Stanley Inc., a provider of systems integration and professional services to the U.S. federal government, won a five-year, single-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a $64 million ceiling by the U.S. Army to support the Aviation and Missile Research, Development, and Engineering Center (AMRDEC) in the development of Advanced-Capability Insensitive Munition Warheads.

ATK wins $105 million to supply non-standard ammunition, rockets for Afghanistan security forces
MINNEAPOLIS, 2 Oct. 2009. Alliant Techsystems won an initial $105 million contract award as part of a three-year contract by the U.S. Army Sustainment Command in Rock Island, Ill., to supply various types of non-standard (non-NATO) ammunition for the security forces of Afghanistan. ATK will integrate a team of international manufacturers for the delivery of non-standard (non-NATO) munitions, including small, medium, and large-caliber ammunition, as well as mortars and rockets.

SAIC delivers safety-critical services for weaponized vehicles to Naval Surface Warfare Center - Crane Division
SAN DIEGO, 1 Oct. 2009. Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) won a task order by the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) - Crane Division to provide engineering, technical, and management support to the Wheeled Tactical Vehicle (WTV) Support Shelter and Vehicle Automated Diagnostic System (VADS) program initiatives.

Global Telecom & Technology to strengthen DOD networks
MCLEAN, Va., 1 Oct. 2009. Global Telecom & Technology Inc. (GTT), a global network integrator, announced that the Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO), the contracting arm of the Department of Defense (DOD)'s Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), has purchased point-to-point connectivity services from GTT to support its internal network infrastructure.

Tektronix to supply digital phosphor oscilloscopes to U.S. Navy
BEAVERTON, Ore., 30 Sept. 2009. Tektronix Inc., a worldwide provider of test, measurement, and monitoring instrumentation, won a contract award to supply Digital Phosphor Oscilloscopes (DPOs) to the U.S. Navy. The $10.75 million contract has a Best Estimated Quantity (BEQ) of 5000 units over a five-year period.

SAIC wins $49 million order from U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center
SAN DIEGO, 29 Sept. 2009. Science Applications International Corp. won a delivery order by the U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) to provide technical analysis and risk assessments in support of SMC's Independent Readiness Review Team (IRRT). The delivery order has a one-year base period of performance, four one-year options, and a total value of more than $49 million if all options are exercised. Work will be performed primarily in El Segundo, Calif.
