Overview:
As today's military transitions to a network-centric force, state-of-the-art communications technologies are in demand. The commercial world, especially that of telecommunications has such technologies and one of them is the Micro Telecommunications Computing Architecture (MicroTCA). This embedded PICMG standard promises to bring large performance benefits to military applications. However, there are many challenges to implementing the standard for use in military systems, especially when it comes to ruggedization and cooling. The MicroTCA for Military Applications webcast will address these challenges and more.
